This is an original gouache painting of Skocjan Caves in Slovenia. Inspired by my travels in Slovenia, where I did field work in this cave as part of an environmental science course in college. Skocjan Caves in thought to be the largest underground River canyon on Earth and is a beautiful example of a karst ecosystem, home to unique flora and fauna.
Painted with gouache on archival, acid free watercolor paper, 300 gsm.
