Narsaq Original Gouache Painting
This is an original gouache painting inspired by my recent travels in Greenland. Pictured in this painting is the tiny colorful village of Narsaq nestled in the fjords of South Greenland. I was deeply inspired by the flora that has adapted to live in the harsh Arctic climate. I was expecting to meet a world covered completely in ice, but instead was met with lush, mossy green carpets of tundra dotted with jewel covered wildflowers and low growing berry bushes. Species featured in this painting include arctic poppy, arctic willow, dwarf fireweed, and yarrow.
Gouache on acid free, archival, 100% cotton rag watercolor paper, 300 gsm. Painting dimensions are 5x7 inches with a half inch margin left on each side for framing. Titled and signed on the back. Painting ships unframed in a padded mailer.
